Since we got back in the water, we haven’t had a day off:
Christian installed two gigantic solar panels instead of our old bimini. Unfortunately one of the panels arrived smashed, but we put them up as a roof anyway, while we’re waiting for the replacement panel. Yet another hiccup and delay…

Galley and bathroom were finished with pretty new countertops:

Then we changed the forestay: of course things didn’t go smoothly. First the old wire wouldn’t come out as it had been sikkaflexed in by some kind and foreward-thinking person in Grenada, then the new wire turned out to be a teeny bit too short. It took a whole day, but in the end everything worked out, thanks to many helping hands (merci, Thomas and Soraya for a whole working day!!)

AND we finally got rid of our old kerosene oven, ripped everything out of the gimballed oven to turn it into storage, did a thorough cleaning and installed an induction stove in the stainless steel plate!

Of course there’s a few dozen tiny jobs that still need to be finished, but all the big projects are done!!
